Technical
Information
Veka window and door profiles are made from UPVC
classified as high impact resistant. This material has been proven in the
field for more than 30 years. The UPVC profiles incorporate
multi-chambered designs, which provide excellent insulating
characteristics, resist condensation and separates drainage from
reinforcement. All profile walls are .110-.126" (2.8-3.2mm) thick and
all hardware mounting screws are attached through at least two profile
walls or a screw boss for excellent tear and shear resistance. The system
utilizes the proven twin compression seal, which ensures excellent air and
water tightness even after many years of use. Sash to frame overlapping
further reduces air and sound infiltration. Special sill and sub-frame
profiles are available for renovation and replacement work. A full
selection of complementary profiles, such as a bay/bow window adaptor,
sills, etc., can be fitted to the lugs of the frame profile.
